Research Assistant

Purpose of the Position
The Research Assistant will provide dedicated research support for Digital Nation Pakistan (DNP) by tracking developments across Pakistan’s digital sector, including government initiatives, industry, connectivity, and digital-economy developments. The role will provide verified facts, figures, and context for the content pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and log digital-sector developments in Pakistan on an ongoing basis.
• Produce research briefs, fact sheets, and background notes for articles, posts, and speeches.
• Verify facts, statistics, and sources for all content before publication.
• Maintain a reference library of reports, data, and coverage relevant to DNP.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Research, Mass Communication, or a relevant field.

Experience

• Suggested minimum 2+ years of relevant experience. The source document notes that this minimum can be finalised with the Chief of Staff.

Key Competencies

• Strong research and verification skills, including use of government and industry data sources.
• Clear written summaries and ability to turn raw material into usable briefs.
• Interest in and understanding of Pakistan’s digital and technology landscape.
