Network Support Officer

Job Scale/ Grade*: NFAPS-06 (Equivalent to BPS-16) • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners. • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, performing preventive maintenance and resolving software or hardware issues. • Provide daily technical support to users through in-person assistance or remote communication, diagnosing and resolving system and network problems, and replacing faulty parts when necessary. • Create and manage user accounts, assist with password or login issues, and ensure compliance with password management policies. • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of LAN, Wireless, and WAN networks, including managing switches, firewalls, and other network equipment. • Maintain and update procedural documentation, prepare reports, and analyze system logs to identify and address potential issues. • Collaborate with network and system administrators to enforce IT security policies and ensure proper handling of classified or sensitive networks. A minimum of BS/MSc (16 years) in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field from a local HEC Recognized University, Or An equivalent foreign bachelor degree recognized by HEC of Pakistan. Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSE or equivalent) are a must. Minimum 2 years of experience in network administration. Experience of designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures. Demonstrated experience with network security protocols and forensic network analysis is a plus.
