Forensic Analyst Fire Investigations

Job Scale/ Grade*: NFAPS-08 (Equivalent to BPS-18) • Conduct scene investigation and process cases as per approved SOPs. • Maintain evidence chain-of-custody and integrity. • Operate and troubleshoot scientific instruments. • Perform quality assurance QA activities and ensure compliance with approved NFA SOPs. • Perform verifications and validations on periodic basis and as and when required. • Report any nonconformance/incident/accident to Senior Forensic Analyst (SFA). • Conduct trainings and competency assessments of existing and newly hired staff. • Work as team lead at scene and as shift in charge. • Prepare duty roaster of CSI staff. • Appear as an Expert Witness in court of Law. • Other duties as assigned by SFA. A minimum of BS/BE/MSc (16 years education) in natural or applied sciences preferably in Fire Science from a local HEC Recognized University, Or An equivalent foreign bachelor degree recognized by HEC of Pakistan. At least 6 months certification to work as a CSI/DSI/FSI. At least five years relevant experience as FSI/CSI/DSI in a designated forensic laboratory of Federal/ Provincial Government of Pakistan.
