Job Description

Job Scale/ Grade: Up to M5 Min. Experience Required: Minimum of 5(five) years for Manager and minimum of 3(three) years for Assistant Manager of relevant experience in/with a bank/FI/DFI in Pakistan. Vacancies/Slots: 1 (Islamabad) Key Responsibilities Develop, review, and update Credit Risk Policies in line with SBP Prudential Regulations (SME, Corporate, Commercial). Ensure policies reflect evolving regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite. Draft Board/Management Committee papers related to policy revisions. Maintain centralized policy repository and version control mechanisms. Ensure compliance with SBP Prudential Regulations and related circulars. Conduct gap analysis against regulatory changes and recommend policy enhancements. Liaise with Regulatory Affairs, Internal Audit, and Compliance units Support the development and enhancement of Risk Management Framework (RMF). Monitor adherence to approved risk policies across business units. Assist in establishing portfolio-level exposure caps, sector limits, and risk thresholds. Support ICAAP, stress testing, and risk appetite framework documentation (where applicable) Coordinate with Credit, Business, Legal, and Compliance teams for policy rollouts. Provide guidance to business units on policy interpretation and application. Support regulatory inspections and audit reviews. Any other task assigned by the Management. Core Competencies Regulatory Interpretation & Compliance Risk Governance & Framework Development Analytical & Critical Thinking Report Writing & Policy Documentation Stakeholder Coordination Strong communication and presentation skills Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Analytical mindset. Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices. Preferable understanding of international trade and export credit agencies. Demonstrable track record in process improvement and risk management. Ability to operate independently with a strong attention to detail. Qualification: Minimum of 16 (sixteen) years’ education having majored in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or any other relevant field, from a leading international or local university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (H.E.C.) of Pakistan.
