Job Description

• COC Class 1 (Master / Chief Engineer). • Minimum 1 Year sailing experience as Captain / Chief Engineer on Foreign Going (FG) Vessels. • Preference will be given to a candidate having: • Experience of working in Ship Management Company. • HSSE / ISM experience in a reputable shipping company. • Ship survey experience with good knowledge of SIRE (Ship Inspection Report Program) & TMSA (Tanker Manager & Self Assessment). ________________________________________________________________________ • Corporation is an equal opportunity employer. • NOC is mandatory for candidates working in Government Organizations. • Appointment will be on contract, initially for a period of two years further extendable with mutual consent. Last date for submission of application is 29th March, 2026. • The required supporting documents shall be submitted along with the CV. • Job description is available on PNSC website. • Only short listed applicants shall be called for interview. • No TA/DA or expenses shall be payable. • Job quotas as prescribed vide Establishment Division Notification No # S.R.O No. 747(1)/2020 dated 19-08-2020 and quotas prescribed for minorities, person with disabilities and women will be followed. • Balochistan quota shall be observed as per instructions / guidelines of the Federal Government. • Needless to emphasize that merit and qualification criteria shall be preferred. • Corporation reserves the right to reject any application without disclosing any reason to the applicants. • Ensure that all vessels under management comply with international and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of PNSC managed vessels. • Implement and enforce safety standards, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all crew members. • Serve as a liaison between the head office, vessel crews, and external stakeholders and communicate effectively with relevant authorities, flag states, and classification societies. • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety and environmental regulations. • Oversee and participate in the investigation of incidents, accidents, or near-misses related to safety, security, quality, and the environment and Implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of incidents. • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential crises or incidents at sea. • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in maritime regulations and ensure that vessels comply with all relevant laws and standards. • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain a quality management system to ensure continuous improvement in fleet operations.
