Minimum 03 years of post-qualification experience in case of Ph.D. or 05 years with LLM/LLB with Master’s Degree.
1. The incumbent will support SPPC’s policy work by collecting data and conducting preliminary research and legal analysis on non-traditional security issues, including international law, climate change, water governance, cybersecurity, and human security.
2. The incumbent will conduct legal research and analysis on international law issues relevant to national security.
3. The incumbent will maintain and update Pakistan’s Digital Interactive Treaties & Agreements Dashboard for real-time policy monitoring.
4. The incumbent will track news feeds and social media for developments on international law and national security, and providing timely updates to SPPC staff.
5. The incumbent will assist in the preparation of presentations, briefing materials, and policy notes for seminars and intellectual forums at national and international levels.
6. The incumbent will organize and coordinate events, seminars, and conferences involving key stakeholders.
7. The incumbent will take minutes and prepare summaries of internal meetings, workshops, and conferences.
8. The incumbent will coordinate with think tanks, universities, and independent experts through digital and non-digital platforms.
9. The incumbent will assist Senior Policy Expert (NTS) in engaging with the Council of Experts, Working Groups and other intellectual bodies.
10. The incumbent will support the Senior Policy Specialist in managing legal and policy-related tasks of the SPPC.
11. Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
12. Ability to work in a high-pressure, sensitive environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
13. Performing any other task assigned by the Minister in Charge, Chairman (SPPC), LANS, Senior Policy Specialist (Non-Traditional Security).
Ph.D. or LLM/LLB with Master’s Degree from Higher Education Commission’s recognized university in International Law.
