AI Associate

Purpose The AI Associate shall support the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that advance the Pakistan Digital Authority's digital transformation agenda. The Associate shall contribute to the development of AI models, data pipelines, intelligent automation, and AI-powered digital services while supporting the implementation of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and other emerging AI technologies across the Authority's digital ecosystem. Key Responsibilities AI Solution Development • Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI and machine learning models for digital platforms and public services. • Support the implementation of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and other AI-enabled solutions. • Develop scripts, prototypes, and automation tools to improve business processes and service delivery. Data Preparation & Model Support • Prepare, clean, validate, and manage datasets for machine learning model development. • Assist in model training, testing, evaluation, and performance optimization. • Support the maintenance of vector databases, embeddings, and AI knowledge repositories. AI Operations & Monitoring • Monitor AI model performance and assist in troubleshooting production issues. • Support deployment of AI services through APIs and cloud-based environments. • Maintain documentation relating to AI models, datasets, experiments, and technical configurations. Research & Innovation • Research emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices. • Evaluate new AI tools and contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives and innovation projects. • Promote responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, privacy, and data security. Qualifications & Experience Education • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution. Experience • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or software development. • Experience developing machine learning models or AI-enabled applications using Python and modern AI frameworks. • Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or Natural Language Processing will be an advantage. • Experience with cloud platforms, Git, APIs, or MLOps practices will be preferred.
