Job Description

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 6 years in Information Security, cybersecurity and 4 years of recent experience in SOC operations.

Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of education or Preferable MS/PhD in Computer Science, Cyber Security, information security, or related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution. International certification in incident handling and SOC operations, offensive security, is strongly desired

Job Description: • Provide overall leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for Security Operations Center (SOC) functions. • Ensure continuous and effective monitoring, detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity incidents on a 24/7 basis. • Oversee implementation and enforcement of approved cybersecurity policies, SOPs, playbooks, and operational guidelines. • Supervise performance of SOC teams, including analysts, shift leads, and technical staff, to ensure service quality and operational readiness. • Review and validate incident classifications, escalations, and response actions, particularly for high-impact or critical incidents. • Coordinate with national and sectoral stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and relevant authorities during major cyber incidents. • Monitor SOC performance metrics, service levels, and capacity, and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and staffing. • Identify operational risks, capability gaps, and emerging threats, and propose mitigation and enhancement measures.
Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and dissemination of incident reports, advisories, and alerts to higher authorities. • Prepare periodic performance, incident, and situational reports for submission to senior management and the competent authority
